Baldwyn residents have the opportunity to help needy children who live in this area and share the true meaning of Christmas.
The 'Angel Tree' at City Hall, which is sponsored by the Baldwyn Main Street Chamber, displays the first names of local children ages 2 to 12 who are in need this Christmas.
Chamber Director Ellen Prentice has placed cards with the names and wishes of 85 children on the tree at City Hall.
Now in its second year, the Baldwyn Angel Tree will provide names of children, their clothes size and at least one toy they would like.
Residents are encouraged to come by city hall any weekday and choose a card from the tree or make a
donation to the Angel Tree at the Chamber office located at 202 South Second Street, inside City Hall. Names and wishes of the needy children is provided by the Prentiss County Department of Human Services. Once a card is chosen, the gift-giver is asked to purchase the items on the card and return them with the card, unwrapped, to the chamber office by Monday, December 17.
No minimums are placed on the amount to be spent. Brighten the Christmas of a local child...Choose your angel this week.
